The course, before the questions

Safety boat on the water first. No launch before it.
Boat preparation stations: collect your boat here.
Isolated race entries, the dashed box: run in, board, sit ready. No strokes.
Out through Lane 2. Turn at the turn buoys only.
Exits and landings through Lane 1 only.
Clear the beach when you land: boats straight back to their stations.

Big yellow buoys are turn buoys, small ones are slalom buoys. Tap the map to see it full size.

Out through Lane 2, home down Lane 1. Practice is one way and nobody rows against it.
When racing: the inner zone is refuge only: being overtaken, breakage, or retiring.
Turn at the turn buoys only, never at a slalom buoy. To keep rowing, do the full loop and swing back into Lane 2 near the shore.
Clear the beach the moment you land, boats back to their stations.
The dashed box is for isolated race entries only: run in, board, sit ready. No strokes away from the shore.
If you swamp or capsize, stay with the boat. Keep the crew together, put a hand up, and wait. The safety boat is on the water before any crew launches and it comes to you.
